The Academy head of recruitment Buba Touray was very impressed by the dedication and improvement of the young categories, “We are now begining to see the best talents and more dedicated players, all the small boys are very happy and can’t wait for every training session, the Academy had improved a lot with consistent training and total commitment from all the young boys, i’m happy to lead this passionate young group”

Gambinos slow start to the season continues.

Gambinos started very brightly as the home side defends very maturely with a resilience from their last defeat.

Gambinos who could not learn from their poor finishing infront of goal pays the price again as strikers lack the cutting edge. Gambinos created most of the goalscoring chances, but failed to capitalised as the home side took an unexpected lead in the first half. Gambinos dominated back the second half, but still failed to find the net and got purnished again this time from a goalkeeping error after Landing Badjie’s poor timing was dealt with very easily by the striker who pounds in an easy header. Gambinos fought back and immediately got a consolation in the 40th minutes through Lamin Ceesay who smash home a thunderous volley from a scramble. Gambinos three defeats in a row, and now with only three points after four matches, week five is at home to Sifoe United F C on saturday.

I guaranteed that we will try everything to regain our shape” Gambinos lost at home to Busumbala yesterday making it two defeats in the campaign so far with only three points after three matches, but the Binos boss does not get carried away regardless “is our first season in a league campaign, in third tier is every club’s aim to promote, a bit different from the second and first divisions, we can pnly use our confidence as a young side to march on with the experienced teams” Gambinos will travel away to Banjulnding next saturday for another mouth watering clash

Lamin Utd Gambinos

Lamin 1 – 0 Gambinos

An afternoon to forget as Gambinos succumbed to a dissapointing defeat in the hands of Lamin.

Gambinos started brightly with two great chances in the first quarter of the match but Amadou Palm fails to punish the home side after he was put through on goal in two occassions.

Gambinos paid the price just 10 minutes inside the second half when LaminUTD capitalised on a counter attack to score the match only goal.
Gambinos responded with two quick inroductions, Lamin Sarr in for Ebrima and Alieu Jarjue for Sulayman but all fails to materialised as a well experienced LaminUTD side secures a famous victory. Next for Gambinos is Sajonding at home #LaminUnitedGambinos#WeAreTheGambinos
