Gambinos off to winning start 2-1!

Armando mboke’s last minute goal earned Gambinos a win in there league opener. It was the best game played so far in this year’s tournament, beautiful football from start to finish. Two minutes into the game Sunny scored, the Binos has some good chances to level the scores but the stubborn Sunny side was well organised at the back, when the Binos resumed in the second half, they create numerous chances but could not break the deadlock. Exactly two minutes to play Omar Jammeh scored an equaliser, and two minutes into extra time Armando Mboke scored a second goal.

LAMIN FATTY SCORES TWO GREAT GOALS, BUT COULD NOT INSPIRE THE YOUNG GAMBINOS TO VICTORY.

Gambinos Academy 2-2 Soccer Boys Academy
4-5 on penalties

Lamin Fatty was again the center of attention as he produced a magical performance in a big stage. The young stars could not protect a 2-0 win in the first twenthy minutes as defensive lapses and a last minute stunner deprived them victory. Talented left winger Lamin Fatty scores a beautiful screamer after dribbling past almost the entire soccer boys defence before unleashing a great effort into the bottom right corner to give Gambinos the lead. Just after ten minutes, he again fires in a quick shot from just outside the area to the delight of Mr. Frankie a football recruit expert from belgium who watches from the stands applauds the brilliance of Lamin Fatty. Gambinos went ahead 2-0.

Soccer Boys FA got a consolation just before half time and a last minute beautiful stunner from 30 yards out brings the game to penalties wich Gambinos lost 4-5. Overall a great tournament for our very young squad who are in a semi final for the first time in history.
