It was a scintilating performance over all as Gambinos clinch their first victory away from home this season. Prolific striker Dodou Touray starts for the first time since last december, Hassim Badjie also back in the starting as he inspires an important away win to a difficult ground in kerewan. Gambinos started the game very brightly after Lamin Sarr’s powerful header gave them a twelve minutes well deserved lead. Mustapha Touray could have put the game to bed when he was cleverly connected by dodou before he directed his low effort against the woodwork. Gambinos gain momentum as the home side struggles to deal with the pace of Amadou, Dodou and Mustapha. In the 68 minutes Gambinos scores the second goal when Amadou Palm fires in a low effort from Hassim Badjie’s brilliant connection… clever move, clever assist and a beutiful finish. Kerewan running out of depth to deal with the pacey attacking of Gambinos who are more direct and united in every attack on goal, almost all the attacking trio will have a touch before every final phase of every attack, more meaningful, fast and great quality. Gambinos rounded up the win from a penalty spot when Musa Bojang was brought down inside the area and Amadou Palm again with a good effort before Kerewan got their consilation deep inside added time. This was Gambinos first away win this season so far and the result today means a top three spot before we travel away to the league leaders GCAA next weekend.
